When nuclear war locks a billionaire's holiday party inside his self-sustaining smart home, his assistant realizes the end of the world is the opportunity she's been waiting for.

Maya has spent years being the most capable person in every room she walks into while making sure nobody noticed. She was good at it. She had a plan. The plan did not include nuclear war, a holiday party full of people she was paid to manage, or the moment everything changed and she had to decide, fast, who she was going to be.

Now the house is sealed. The world outside is gone. And the wealthy, panicked, and completely useless guests answer to her, whether they like it or not. Some of them definitely do not.

A Safer Home is a show about what happens when the person who was always doing the work finally has to own it. About power that arrives uninvited and can't be returned. About a woman who wanted a seat at the table and ended up at the head of it in a house she didn't build, surrounded by people she didn't choose, keeping everyone alive through sheer competence and increasingly complicated decisions.

The apocalypse didn't give Maya a second chance. It just finally got out of her way.
